THE BBQ GOURMET
The BBQ Gourmet is an on-site catering company that services Toronto and the GTA. We pride ourselves on hot food, great service, and fast lines. Since 1998, we have been spreading the word of real Southern pit BBQ catering.
Although we offer a wide range of BBQ catering, from juicy 1/2 lb hamburgers to grilled steak and seafood, our specialty – and passion – remains the slow-smoked meats and traditional side dishes from the south.

Qualifications
The potential franchisee list includes anyone who enjoys being involved with people. The business can be taught to people who have very little experience, although ideally, the franchisee will have some experience working in sales or service industries.
They should have a common knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping and should have a passion for the business as well as success in general. Their initial enthusiasm will be a selling point for the franchisor company as we are looking for a good chemistry and ongoing relationship with each franchisee.
REAL BBQ DEFINED
BBQ, barbeque, barbecue, or bar-b-q? How you spell it doesn’t really matter. All these terms are derived from the Spanish word “Barbacoa.” This ancient process involved the process of cooking meats in large pits of smoldering coals. To this day traditional southern smoker BBQ cookers are referred to as “pits”, true to their ancient past.
