Hammy’s Smash Burgers is a fast-casual restaurant built around one thing: the perfect smash burger. Thin-pressed patties, crispy-edged and juicy, topped with our iconic Hammy sauce, grilled onions, and customizable toppings, served fast, fresh, and made to order.
Founder Hamzah “Hammy” Ahmed spent nine years in Fresno restaurant management before opening the first Hammy’s in 2022, the nickname that started the whole brand. What started as one location has grown into seven company-owned restaurants across Fresno and Los Angeles, each one a live testing ground for the systems, recipes, and operations that make Hammy’s work
Now Hammy’s is opening the model to franchisees for the first time: a proven concept, tested across seven company-owned locations, ready to bring to your market.
Hammy’s built its following on a technique, a sauce, and a track record that guests already trust.
The recipes, systems, and training you’ll inherit have already been proven in real, day-to-day operation.
Our house-made signature sauce and smash technique are genuinely distinct. They’re the reason guests come back.
A lean, well-trained staff keeps the griddle running efficiently.
Every franchisee gets an exclusive territory. No company or franchised location will compete inside it.
Franchise fees drop to $30,000 for every additional unit under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement.
The recipes, systems, and training you’ll inherit have already been proven in real, day-to-day operation.
Hammy’s is built on relationships, so it looks for owners who are built the same way: outgoing, hands-on, and genuinely good with people.
Comfortable face-to-face with customers every day, aggressive and consistent about turning first-time guests into regulars. Restaurant or hospitality experience is a strong plus.
Prior business ownership or management experience, with sound problem-solving and decision-making instincts.
Hammy’s franchisees run the day-to-day themselves; passive ownership isn’t the model. (Owner/manager arrangements are available with approval for those who qualify.)
Each location runs with a small, efficient staff, so the owner needs to multitask: schedules, P&Ls, inventory, and ordering, all at once.
Puts the customer first every time. The quality of service at each location is what makes or breaks the Hammy’s name.
You won’t be figuring this out alone. Hammy’s built its training and support program around what it took to run seven company-owned locations successfully.
A two-phase program: initial training at Hammy’s Fresno headquarters covering brand, operations, marketing, and management, followed by hands-on training at your own location before you open.
Field visits on a set schedule, biweekly in your first two quarters, tapering to quarterly, plus ongoing guidance on unit operations, product ordering, pricing, and admin procedures.
Hammy’s develops advertising materials and campaigns for the full network, backed by a system-wide Brand Fund, while you run locally targeted marketing in your market.
Centralized supplier relationships protect product quality and consistency across every location, including yours.
Hammy’s Smash Burgers spent four years building the recipes, systems, and reputation that make this business work, and seven company-owned locations to prove it. Now that model is available to franchisees for the very first time.
an established brand with a proven system and open territory, backed by a founder who’s still building it right alongside you.
Exclusive territories are limited and going fast as Hammy’s expands into new markets.
