From Glacier Trails to Growing Territories

Ranger Joe’s Pizza was born from family, grit, adventure, and a lifelong love of pizza.

A family hike to Kintla Lake in Glacier National Park turned into a test of endurance for founder Joseph Ledwidge and his family. After leading them through heat, overgrown trails, heavy packs, sprained ankles, and even predator kills along the way, Joe’s family playfully crowned him “Ranger Joe”, a nickname that would one day become much more than a family memory.

Growing up around his family’s pizza business in the 1980s, and the craft of dough, sauce, ovens, recipes, and hospitality had always been part of Joe’s story. After years away from the industry, he started making pizzas again for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers, and Ranger Joe’s Pizza was born.

Ranger Joe’s Pizza launched as a takeout and delivery-focused concept with a small slice bar, bringing together everything that made the story unique: family recipes, handcrafted food, outdoor adventure, and a restaurant experience built around the idea that pizza is the perfect way to refuel after a long day on the trail, road, river, mountain, or lake.

Today, we proudly refuel our customers wherever they are through carryout, third-party delivery, and our unique, adventure-themed, dine-in experience.

While born in Montana, the Ranger Joe’s concept is built for communities across the country, anywhere there is a park, a path, a trail, a lake, a mountain, a road trip, a neighborhood, a family, or an adventure waiting to happen.
